Our Story

Welcome to Create It! Factory, where innovation meets imagination.

Our journey began with a simple idea: to create a space where people of all ages could explore, create, and learn. Founded by a group of passionate tech enthusiasts and educators, Create It! Factory was established to bridge the gap between education and hands-on experience.

At Create It! Factory, we believe that learning should be dynamic and engaging. Our makerspace is a hub of creativity, where you can bring your ideas to life using state-of-the-art tools and technology. From 3D printing and laser engraving to programming and robotics, we provide the resources and guidance needed to turn your concepts into reality.

Our Passion

At Create It! Factory we cater to a diverse community, offering workshops, classes, and events for beginners and experts alike. Whether you’re a young student discovering the basics of coding, an artist experimenting with new mediums, or a hobbyist looking to refine your skills, there’s a place for you at Create It! Factory.

Our team is dedicated to supporting your creative journey. With backgrounds in technology, education, and design, we are here to mentor, encourage, and collaborate with you every step of the way.

Join us at Create It! Factory and become part of a community where creativity knows no bounds. Together, let’s build, innovate, and create something amazing.

Joe, Co-Founder

I’m Joe, a co-founder of Create It! Factory. My passion for technology and education drives me to help others explore and create. As a certified private pilot, I’m looking for ways to share my love of aviation with others. I’m super excited for our Young Aviators summer camp this summer.

I love programming and am proficient in Python, Scratch, Java, and C. With a background in data science and statistics, I enjoy creating engaging and educational hands-on experiences and excited to share with kids, helping them discover their own potential and creativity.

Susan, Co-Founder

Ms. Susan brings over 30 years of teaching experience to our makerspace, working with kids of all ages. She holds a K-8 multiple subject teaching credential, a degree in liberal arts and linguistics with an emphasis on writing and biology, and has a background running classrooms, summer camps, enrichment programs, and tutoring. Ms. Susan fosters a fun, supportive, and creative environment where students can explore and grow.

In the makerspace, she loves helping kids bring their ideas to life through hands-on projects using clay, painting, and fabric design. She's excited to see what amazing creations the students make this summer!

Outside the classroom, she enjoys gardening and baking. She is also a volunteer for a local dog rescue, where she fosters dogs until they find their forever homes.

Jake, Robotics Lead

I am currently a student at Las Positas College, pursuing a degree in Data Science and Geography. I am passionate about robotics and have skills in Scratch, Python, and C programming. With an interest in history and world cultures, I love exploring the diverse narratives that shape our world.

I have enjoyed diving into the world of makerspaces, discovering ways to express my creativity and innovation. As an avid basketball fan and a computer expert, I have built my own computer from scratch, optimizing it for both performance and efficiency. My expertise includes hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and software installation.

Fun fact: I can name all the countries in the world on a map
